I was looking at a map of Iraq (Figure 1). The map was lying flat, and small toy canons were scattered around. I could see what appeared to be the Tigris River or possibly the Iraq/Iran border running down the middle. Most toy cannons were clustered to the northwest of the line, possibly around Baghdad. Those were American cannons. Others I was not sure about. Suddenly, one of the cannons in the clustered area began spinning around, firing at the other cannons. I could see small explosions, and many of the American canons were being destroyed. I tried to fix the damage, but I could not reverse it.
Next, I found myself hiding inside a dark stone building. It had no windows. The floor was concrete but was covered with a thick layer of dust. There was fighting going on outside. I saw a heavy wooden door open, and a soldier threw two grenades inside. I pulled up a mattress to cushion myself from the explosion. I did not feel anything. Then, I saw a wounded American soldier crawl into the building.
This dream could represent more intense fighting in Iraq or possibly a war with Iran. Our troops were severely wounded. We will not be able to help.
